Web page footers serve as key navigational and trust building elements of a website. For consistency, Cengage web page footers should usually include the following sections.
Footer sections should be included in the following reading order. The visual order should be consistent with the reading order.

Optional: Include the standard web logo for the business unit. The logo should link to the business unit home page.
Internal categories links
Optional: Include links to top-level pages (1 level down from root page), but not nested pages (2+ levels down from root page).
- Should not include full sitemap or excessive links (ideally no more than seven)
- Should provide essential navigation, align with user needs, and contribute to cohesive
site
structures
Do: contact us, events, help
Don’t: product promotion links, landing pages
Connect with us
Optional: Include a section for social media links.
The section heading is Connect with us
.
Each link points to the business unit's account for the social media platform and displays the platform icon following the business unit's brand guidelines (for example, for color and size).
